Mahindra claims the world fastest electric supercar

Electric cars are the future of mobility, as we hear about resources like natural gas depleting by the day. Mahindra Group-owned Automobili Pininfarina has unveiled its latest luxury hypercar that runs entirely on electricity. Called the Battista, the new car was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

“This electric car can go from 0-100 kmph in under two seconds, 0-300 kmph in less than 12 seconds, and hit a top speed of 350 kmph," said Automobili Pininfarina CEO Michael Perschke in a statement to The Better India.
This electric hypercar Battista has a 1900 horsepower and generates 2300Nm of torque. On a single charge, the car can go up to 450km. It is claimed to be the world's fastest electric supercar; quite the achievement!
For the high speed and zero emissions, the Battista by Automobili Pininfarina is powered by a nickel liquid-cooled 120 kWh battery pack made with lithium and manganese.
The Battista also has a fully carbon-fiber chassis in order to enable a weight limit of 2000 kgs. Not just the chassis, it also has a carbon-fibre battery pack and a rear carbon subframe.
Other design aspects include two screens for the driver, on each side of the steering wheel. Automobili Pininfarina has qualified to compete in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, and hopes to win big this time around.
